But it could be just me 
Indeed, «Ясно» seems to be the actual word sung.
I’d say the repetition of «k» would’ve seemed harsher as well.
I wondered, though, about «Ясно»—or maybe I don’t recall hearing this word too much in ballads.

I am confused too. «ярко отпылал» sounds kinda right in this context, but «ясно отплясал» sounds weird. I think it is metaphorical either way and the meaning is almost the same, so let’s just let it be
Ясно солнышко is, probably, what you’ve heard in ballads, but we still use it now and it can mean “obvious(ly)” (ясно, как божий день) or “clear sky” (ясно, ни тучки на небе)
